實體店面重點不再是銷售，而是展示與體驗
零售實體店，不會消失，但會進化，這也是近期很多快閃店的出現，因為實體商店可以提升品牌知名度，為官網帶來流量，加速電商的銷售。
雖然現在的電子商務，看似進入資本比開一家店少很多，只要架好網站，比開一家實體店的店租少了很多，但是，顧客取得成本一直在提升，其配銷成本比實體商品的方式高4倍，例如你需要花更多錢在社群上下廣告，才有機會曝光、取得顧客。
知名的例子有：「瑞典肉丸是最好的沙發銷售員（…）提供餐飲，顧客會停留更久，討論他們可能的採購，並且再不離開商店的情況下做決定。」，所以百貨公司等實體店面，積極的透過：用餐場所、工作場所、玩樂場所或是探索與學習的場所，而非商品本身，來吸引更多顧客到實體店面。
擁抱失敗
Amazon更會正視其失敗的功能與服務，例如Amazon Fire 手機，造成了1.7億美元的呆帳；但創新，本來就是外界看似瘋狂的投資，正因為他的瘋狂，所以成功了，大大的享受新進者優勢，但失敗還是有其損失風險，追求卓越，只能擁抱失敗。
每個失敗，都是另一個發展的契機，就像是amazon fire 手機的失敗，也是個契機，讓Amazon 不在受限於智慧型手機的發展，而是改以家店、進入家庭，例如Amazon TV 還有Echo系列結合Alexa 語音助理的服務。
